Daily Reading

So, I'm trying to read a chapter of the Bible each night to the kids. It's kinda rough, because there's quite a bit of geneology in the beginning of Genesis. But we've finished chapter 13 and should be done with 21. Not great, but not too bad.

Anyhow, I may have made a mistake by doing it in the evening, because I think they are associating it with having to go to bed, but we'll work on that...

Aaaaanyhow, Zoƫ is very much in a "no" phase of her life.

Are you okay? No.
Are you hungry? No.
Are you a boy? No.
Are you a girl? No.
Are you a baby? No.

So, I was asking if they wanted to brush their teeth (which is also associated with going to bed), and she says no. So, I go through a ton of questions, including do you want to do another Bible chapter. Well, a minute later, I'm still asking her questions and she's still saying no. Then Jason shows up, with my Bible.

Honestly, I was quite proud. It's cool that he wants to hear it read. It was one of those mixed emotion times though, because I know he had to of disobeyed me to get into the office to get it...

But I didn't get him in trouble.
